We Like To Be Fair

Here at Licking County PAC, we like to be fair and give people a chance to respond. In this vain we contacted the office of Congressman Tiberi and spoke with his district director, Sally Testa, today.

We were hoping to convince the congressman that an open "town hall" constituent meeting would be good for our district, as many people have serious questions about the social Security plans being proposed, among other things.

Congressman Tiberi sits on the house sub committee for Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit, as well as the sub committee on Capital Markets. So hearing the congressmans ideas and thoughts and being able to ask questions would be very valuable.

However we are sad to report that Congressman Tiberi isn't interested at this time in holding a town hall style meeting on social Security or any other issue for that matter. He instead prefers his scaredy cat meetings, otherwise known as "office hours". where he will only meet people individually.

This does not provide an adequate opportunity to hear the congressmans thoughts. Indeed many people at his latest "office hours" meeting had to leave, there were simply too many people to deal with one at a time, it also doesn't provide a very good forum to hear the  answers that other people may have.

We even offered to host the event for him. No Joy.

As well as being fair, we are also tenacious. Stay tuned.
