Thought Provoking...
Thursday I spent a whole day, making applesauce, 1 Qt each of
raspberry and cherry syrup and sugared black raspberries all picked the day before.
Anyone who thinks we can go back to the old days with "mom" in the
kitchen making everything, should just take one day and see how long it takes to "put up" food.
After spending five rainy hours with the Dem Club float at the 4th of July parade in Granville, we were happy to eat Commodity produced food at McD's. We needed hot coffee and food. I was very happy not to have to go home and make a meal.
